Harold Eugene Heird, Sr.

1945-2024

Mr. Harold Eugene Heird, Sr., 79, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, was born February 28, 1945 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Jesse Edward and Margie Leona (Adams) Heird.

Harold was a wonderful husband and father. He was loved by everyone that knew him. Harold was a gifted comedian named Mortimer and he did shows in Kingfisher and Guthrie. He loved to make people laugh and smile.

Harold was a devoted Christian and lived his life for the Lord.

On May 4, 2024, Jesus received a special gift and we know Jesus was waiting with open arms at the Pearly Gates to receive him.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Margie Heird as well as Ed Heird and Barbara Heird.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Elaine Heird and two sons, Harold Heird, Jr. and Tim Heird and wife. Also surviving Harold are his two sisters, Wanda and Carolyn Poplin, two brothers, Larry and David Heird, five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

The family would like to acknowledge the Kiespert family, Wheeler family, and Fields family for all of their help and support through Harold’s illness.
