Jodi lived a beautiful life with multiple everlasting friendships and loves. When asked days before her passing what her most valuable possessions were, she responded with, “my two girls are my most valuable possessions and accomplishments in my eyes.” And the love of my husband’s two boys who I loved just as much”.

She was loved by so many that adopted her as their bonus Mom or Nene. In her younger years she loved to bowl and the friendships that started in the bowling leagues.

Jodi worked hard her whole life and became successful with a bachelor’s degree and being an Office Manager. Her last employment when she became disabled, was with the Martin’s at Exit Reality. Her favorite work included, to help people with their business activities when they had trouble with the office routine. Her favorite things to do were watching reality shows, fishing, cruising on boat rides, playing board games with family, singing to the Lord and playing the piano or keyboard.

She loved worshipping God. Jodi met her husband Paul, the love of her life. Before they were married, he would drive to Blanchard to pick her up and bring her to the church to play keyboard and sing songs for the congregation. Most would describe Jodi as an earth angel. She was the first to offer assistance to someone in need, no matter the circumstance.

She was a member of the Healing Hearts Church where she, again, worshipping with her husband, Pastor Paul Martin until her health started to deteriorate from Lupus, RA and having problems breathing the last two years she wasn’t able to go anywhere, but, to the many Doctors and Hospital visits.

Everyone in the community knew her as Pastor Paul Martin’s wife and worship leader. Jodi had a heart of gold and her faith never wavered as she fought a health condition for 5 years. Even to the end before she was put under life support.

She asked the doctor and staff to remove her DNR, because she wanted to live and go home to her husband and family. Jodi was in so much pain and COVID-19 though it had her, but God was victorious as he said on December 10, 2021 your work on earth is done. Come home sweet angel and sing those beautiful songs to the Lord, she obliged. Her love will be with us forever.

Waiting for her arrival were her dad, Jesse Hazen; sisters, Donita Rae Bentley and Jeanine Calloway.

She leaves to cherish her loving husband and best friend Paul TWJ Martin, Sr.; her mother Coy Darlene Hazen, who loved her baby girl so very much; her daughters, Angela Maxwell and Amy Stinson; her sons, Paul TWJ, II, and his wife, Lisa Martin and Jason and his wife, Regan Martin: her sisters, Linda and her Husband Jim Steele and Judy and her husband Larry Pierce; brother Bobby Lakin; one grandchild, four great-grandchildren, multiple nephews, nieces and extended family.

Services were held at Community Funeral Home on December 17, 2021 at 11:00 am with burial at Psalm 23rd in Memorial Gardens, under the direction of McKay-Davis Funeral Home.
